Welcome to Coorabell Hall on the ridge overlooking Byron Bay! This well-loved little country hall is volunteer-run for community, arts and cultural pursuits.
Coorabell Hall was dedicated in the original Trust for the "instruction and amusement" of the community. As the world has shrunk, our community has expanded, and our performers, artists, teachers and guests are from all over the globe. The local community contributes the energy which keeps the Hall in its beautiful condition through fundraising, regular maintenance and major improvement program.
The Coorabell Hall has been a venue for community meetings, dance and music events, instruction in all the arts, private parties, weddings, workshops and funerals ever since. The Hall also has a 100yr relationship with Coorabell Public School and remains its venue for performances and fundraising events. The School of Arts was founded in 1906 and the hall originally built in 1909. It was rebuilt on its current site in 1920. See our website for a full history.
