The Button Collective is an exciting and energetic folk and bluegrass band. Their music borrows elements from traditional folk bands of Australia and Ireland, spiced with the spirit of fast-paced bluegrass from America, all with a very personal and intimate delivery from singer and songwriter Brodie Buttons.
After forming in early 2013, The Button Collective have become a regular fixture in many Sydney bars and country pubs alike. They have also performed at several music festivals including The National Folk Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, Splendour In The Grass, The Byron Bay Falls Music and Arts Festival, Kiama Folk by the Sea, and the Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival. Following up from the band’s debut album, A Ship Sails is the soon to be released EP The Lonesome Sea, and second album How to Survive a Shipwreck.
The Button Collective at various times incorporates guitar, double bass, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, flute, and rich, multi-layered vocal harmonies.

The Button Collective played Tintenbar Hall. We were enthralled. The quality of the songs, the beauty of the playing and the evocation of times past that seem as relevant today… Wonderful music to listen to, but equally great to dance.
