The Supper Club is always held in an intimate space (with kitchen), and has appeared in Nundle, Melbourne, Mylestom. About once a month I book a musician to play, while guests enjoy a meal, prepared by yours truly. Tealights in glass jars adorn the tables to create a special ambience. When guests arrive they help themselves to a complimentary glass of wine, find somewhere to sit (there are no fixed seating arrangements), enjoy each others company, and maybe meet someone new!
The food follows a loose theme; Indian, Thai, Cajun, Moroccan styles have been presented to the 60 or so diners. I love to cook, and these cuisines are among my favourites.
So far the musical talent has been superb, starting in 2013: Melanie Horsnell, Blake Saban, "Big Daddy" Roy Payne, Jimmy Dowling, Heath Cullen, Leah Flanagan, Mick Daley, Vincent Cross, Don Walker, and even Mr Barry Morgan. Add to that classical duo Mimosa, George Washingmachine, Peter Baylor, Lucie Thorne, Alison Ferrier, Ian Collard, Sarah Carroll, Chris Wilson, The Junes, Roy Paynes Hillbilly Bop Safari, Jakal, Suzannah Espie, Jeff Gibson, Liz Stringer, the Tamworth 2340 Big Band, Half Nelson, Gleny Rae Virus and her Playboys.
